Rewind and produce coils; replace and prepare components, such as the stator core for winding or the wound motor for dipping; test the engine to ensure that repairs were successful.
A motor rewinder checks, repairs and replaces electrical accessories in a motor, such as relays, batteries and resistance boxes.
Check and troubleshoot wiring and electrical connection issues.
Rewinding of alternator.
Removal and fixing of main alternator.
Inspection of main alternator / fault finding.
Trouble shooting faulty equipment.
Rewinding of main alternator and electric motor.
Removal and fixing of main alternator at sites.
Servicing of main alternator.
Carry out other duties that may be assigned periodically.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a B.Eng / HND in Electrical Electronics Engineering or Trade Test certificates
5 years of experience working as a Technical rewinder
Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge.
Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
