Responsibilities

• Rewind and produce coils; replace and prepare components, such as the stator core for winding or the wound motor for dipping; test the engine to ensure that repairs were successful.


• A motor rewinder checks, repairs and replaces electrical accessories in a motor, such as relays, batteries and resistance boxes.


• Check and troubleshoot wiring and electrical connection issues.


• Rewinding of alternator.


• Removal and fixing of main alternator.


• Inspection of main alternator / fault finding.


• Trouble shooting faulty equipment.


• Rewinding of main alternator and electric motor.


• Removal and fixing of main alternator at sites.


• Servicing of main alternator.


• Carry out other duties that may be assigned periodically.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Eng / HND in Electrical Electronics Engineering or Trade Test certificates


• 5 years of experience working as a Technical rewinder


• Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge.


• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems


• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints


• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.


• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
