Job Summary
- We are looking for a Programme Manager to execute activities of our English Literacy department.
- The desired candidate will be someone vast in 21st-century teaching methodology, someone who loves to teach kids, with proficiency in facilitating English Language classes and has team management experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize and implement a special curriculum for basic primary pupils on English Literacy
- Facilitate English literacy sessions for primary school kids, and handle special kids that need special attention in classes.
- Oversee approvals of coverage schools, plan expansion agenda and coordinate special programmes for the public primary schools
- Report pupils’ progress weekly, and conduct baseline assessments for students at the end of each term.
- Collaborate with school teachers, and school management on curriculum synchronization and serve as monitoring for the student's performance.
- Coordinate the entire English Literacy programme across schools, and manage a team of volunteers and facilitators.
- Prepare monthly department budgets for the English Literacy department, oversee procurements and ensure the academic needs of the students are met in learning and materials.
Requirements
- Our ideal candidate must be a young, vibrant, passionate and energetic person who loves to impact kids.
- Candidates that possess at least a B.Ed (strongly recommended to apply), B.Sc in English, Literary Studies, Mass Communication or Linguistics with working experience teaching kids are also encouraged to apply.
- Must possess at least a Second Class Lower in the aforementioned areas of the discipline.
- Must possess at least 1 (one) year of experience working in the education sector as an Educator.
- Must be professional, have experience handling underserved kids, and have an outgoing personality
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft office suites.
- Our ideal candidate must be organized, friendly with kids, and must have excellent public speaking skills.
Salary
N40,000 - N50,000 Monthly.
