Our client is looking to hire a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for the design, development and execution of software tests which verify software meets business or product requirements. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will manage quality in product development or client engagements, along with improving enterprise or product quality assurance practices and supporting business development activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback


• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases


• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities


• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools


• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs


• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved


• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs


• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements


• Monitor debugging process results


• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions


• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts


• Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements


• Prove for scalability and performance of a software


• Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole


• Develop and automate tests for software validation

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer or a similar role with a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject


• Relevant experience in a strategic role in the banking/payments/fintech space preferrable


• Deep understanding of QA


• Understand the uses and methods of testing


• 5 years of experience with mobile applications


• 5  years of experience of working in an agile, fast-paced environment


• Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs)


• Good level in SQL/database


• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills


• Team player


• Good time-management skills
