Job Description
Summary
- Provides leadership, consultation, strategic operational plans and direction to enable both feed manufacturing and deliveries to produce animal feed.
- Performs administrative duties in preparing and maintaining records, reviewing production plans & reports, and following through on deviations from expected results and goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Directs feed manufacturing and feed deliveries in carrying out the approved programs.
- Reviews production records, schedules feed production, keeps inventory of feed ingredients and orders as needed.
- Actively pursues acquisition of information or skills to manage feed manufacturing and deliveries.
- Oversees testing and reviewing feed/grain quality
- Evaluates operating procedures, sets quality assurance standards
- Prepares and monitors monthly, quarterly and yearly budgets
- Stays up-to-date on new technology and ways to make process improvements
- Holds supervisors and employees accountable for feed manufacturing and delivery.
- Manages the learning and training of subordinates to continually improve their skills and knowledge.
- Maintains close and effective working relationships with accounting, technical services, vendors, and government agencies.
Qualifications
Education / Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, or Feed Mill Management
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Computer Skills:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software and Google office suite.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Skilled in interpersonal relationships, conflict resolution, group presentations, and problem solving.
