Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities



  • Responsible for building new key customer relationships as well as identifying new business opportunities.

  • Responsible for arranging client meetings, visiting suppliers & consultants, and generally opening the door for the company technical teams to develop proposals for work, attending industry functions, and organizing marketing events.

  • New business development, and managing existing accounts, contracts, and renewals. Job costing, tenders, pricing, and commercial documentation.

  • Project management and supervising and coordinating the work of contractors.

  • Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money.

  • Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives.

  • Managing and leading change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities.

  • Direct and oversee the Strategy and Business Development Department, aiming at identifying, analyzing, and recommending specific business opportunities for the profitable growth and diversification of the Company.

  • Provide guidance and leadership to department employees to ensure effective and efficient flow of work

  • Proactively identifying new business opportunities in line with the Identity product offering.

  • Lead identification and generation, qualification, relationship development and conversion of enquiries to confirmed orders.

  • Maintaining accurate records on the company CRM system and providing regular activity reports demonstrating the progress of a sales funnel of active opportunities “Hit-List”.

  • Working with new clients on the initial workstream

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company products and services.

  • Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues, and products related to the events sector.

  • Monitor industry developments relating to potential business opportunities.

  • As part of the role, you will be responsible for contributing to and achieving the business objectives.


Requirements



  • Degree holders with 5 - 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.

  • Solid communication, presentation, reporting, and time management skills.


Skills and Experience:



  • Significant business development experience working with an oil and gas service provider

  • Commercially aware and able to achieve revenue targets in a strategic manner.

  • Proven organizational skills including the ability to meet deadlines and follow up leads without being prompted.

  • Readiness to understand and promote new products.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Good oral and written communication skills; able to easily influence and be customer focused in your approach.

  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.

  • A flexible, hands-on, approach with a can-do attitude.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and remain calm under pressure.

  • Experience in a sales role in the oil and Gas Sector
