About the Role



  • The FairMoney Payments Business Unit is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to help build and scale FairMoney's mobile and POS-based payment product for Nigeria and ensure it becomes the most user-centric & sustainable digital payments and Banking services for merchants of all sizes.


Requirements



  • You have 5+ years of building scalable & high audience engagement/retention based consumer facing products in emerging markets

  • You have prior experience building mobile-first neo bank and/or Fintech products lending, savings, payments, investments, insurance & remittance)

  • You have prior experience working in a cross-cultural and international environment, alongside all levels of stakeholders

  • You have prior experience in building & scaling own consumer start-up which had a successful exit

  • You are extremely customer centric & put the user's interest at the locus of all the decisions. You firmly believe that what is right for the user is right for the business. To that, you establish a customer-centric vision for the Bank business unit, challenge the status quo and inspire people toward a unified outcome.

  • You have a strong growth & experiment driven mindset with high proficiency in quantitative analyses, influencing with data (e.g. funnel, cohorts, segments, benchmarks), building business cases, and articulately communicating data-driven insights to all stakeholders

  • You thrive working in ambiguous & fast-paced environments. Amidst this ambiguity, you develop, maintain & revise prioritized product roadmaps and backlogs and then efficiently execute to ship the product experiences & functionalities which deliver user delight and positively impact our business.

  • You easily lead large, cross-functional groups of people to deliver on the team’s mission. You also build alignment across cross-functional partners (Business Units, Compliance, Engineering, Legal, Operations, Customer Support, etc.)

  • You create clear OKRs goals for the Business Unit and regularly track them to ensure the team does not lose sight of the North Star metrics

  • You easily & articulately communicate in written & spoken form. You know how to tune your communication & influence outcomes basis the audience (C-level vs. Investors vs. day-to-day stakeholders).

  • Understand user needs; identify and define product requirements for the customer and support ambassador claims experience

  • Regardless of your title, you're not afraid to get into the trenches and get your hands dirty with execution.

  • Your fierceness in challenging the status quo is only paled by the kindness & respect you extend to your team members & stakeholders
