Overview



  • The Gardener reports to the Office Assistant (OA) and will be responsible for external common areas, such levelling of flowers, grases etcetera


Responsibilities



  • Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations.

  • Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, seed sowing, general management of weeds, bed preparation, and planting

  • Plant and nurture grasses, flowers, and various plants.

  • Advise supervisor on the costs of plants and garden necessities with detailed written quotations and reports.

  • Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations.

  • Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as mowing machines, small diggers, cutters etc.

  • Service all garden equipment and machinery.

  • Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden and grounds.

  • Support with the landscaping of the office environment especially the green areas

  • Support with periodic fumigation of the office premises

  • Ensure cleanliness of the outer office environment at all time

  • Support in disposing of bad and nonfunctional items within the office after full authorization

  • Report equipment malfunctions to Admin as and when noticed


Required Qualifications



  • (Clerical) Some secondary education (grade 7-8)

  • 6 months of experience required

  • Ability to read and write in basic English

  • Prior-experience in similar position

  • Understanding the concept of gardening maintenance and equipment, as well as understanding the horticulture environment, is required.


SALARY RANGE: 110,120 - 186,390
