To provide support in the management of MTNN’s excess cash in the fixed income space to preserve cash value, optimize yield and provide sufficient liquidity for the funding of crucial obligations of the business.

Define counterparty risk exposure limit for Banks based on defined financial and risk criteria
Update the Investment Policy Statement and asset allocation matrix as required and especially in line with changing business and market factors
Develop trading strategies on fixed income based on market fundamentals and technical analysis
Collate daily bank indicative quotes on fixed income securities to aid investment decisions.
Prepare management reports on market, competitor and general intelligence that impact the business; while maintaining Treasury records and audit trail in strict compliance to MTNN policies and procedures.
Provide support to the business units requiring assistance in Treasury matters, implementing Treasury policies, processes, and procedures.
Collate information on economic conditions, the financial climate and changes in corporate requirements, carrying out ratio analysis on banks and data on risk ratings and exposure limits.
Implement Treasury systems for deal closure and transaction confirmation with counterparties to ensure seamless and secure data transfer
Initiate cash settlement and securities transfer instructions following deal closure
Implement tools for corporate cash management; evaluate banks and custodians and ensure regulatory compliance
Monitor the primary auction calendar and the open market operation activities; and make recommendations for investment decisions
Initiate account entries, query and verify all General Ledger balances relating to bank accounts, investment accounts, income accounts for accuracy and completeness
Education:
First degree in Accounting, Economics or any other related discipline
A professional financial management/accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACT)
Passed Level 2 of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute Examination (CFA) or ACI Certified
Fluent in English
Experience:
3 - 7 years’ experience which includes:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience working with others.
Experience working in a medium-sized organization.
Experience in Treasury front office environment in the Banking or Investment Banking industry.
Experience in Fixed Income dealing experience.
Familiarity with good accounting practices (IFRS on financial instruments) and the Nigerian policy environment.
Excellent knowledge of the money and capital markets.
