Job Responsibilities



  • Devise and employ fruitful sourcing strategies.

  • Discover the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships.

  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms.

  • Increase credit capability with client.

  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.

  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.

  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients.

  • Anticipate unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.

  • Control spend andbuild a culture of long-term saving on procurement cost.

  • Examine and re-evaluate existing contracts.

  • Liaise with Finance department to resolve supplier payment issues.

  • Requests for quotation taking into account whole life costing, sustainability and ethical purchasing.

  • Identify and deliver efficiency savings and improved contractual arrangements.

  • To supervise the purchase order processing activity.

  • Promote good procurement practice supporting requesters in allocated budget areas.

  • Managing Maintenance and repairs budget.

  • Make quarterly projections of procurement needs.

  • Perform risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements.

  • Ensure that parts / service supplied meet up with specification of workshop request / requirement.

  • Check validity of requests to purchase, obtaining any additional necessary paperwork and manage any non-compliance requests.

  • Liaise with requesters / departmental contacts to ensure timely resolution of queries

  • Oversees the inventory levels of thebusiness.

  • Receive and record stock of deliveries by analyzing different suppliers, recording daily deliveries, and evaluating new arrivals.

  • Fulfil purchase orders.

  • Record and track stock levels.

  • Monitor distribution of stock.

  • Maintain stock records using manual or computerised systems.

  • Draw up inventories.

  • Check supplies against invoice and purchase orders.

  • Compliance with turnaround time of returns and deliveries.


Job Requirements



  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc / HND qualification.

  • 3 - 5 years work experience.
