Job Description



  • Plan and develop merchandising strategies that balance customers’ expectations and the company’s objectives

  • Analyse sales figures, customers reactions, and market trends to anticipate product needs and plan product ranges/stock

  • Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, distributors, and analysts to negotiate prices, quantities, and time-scales

  • Maximise customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately

  • Produce layout plans for stores and maintain store shelves and inventory

  • Forecast profits/sales and plan budgets

  • Monitor stock movement and consider markdowns, promotions, price changes, clearouts etc

  • Build constructive customer relationships and team with channel partners to build pipelines and close deals

  • Remain up to date with the industry’s best practices

  • Implement and innovate upon store layout plan to best present the product range and your areas of responsibility are perceived by visitors as being a source of inspiration.

  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing environment for our customers

  • Utilize space planning tools to ensure simplicity, cost-effectiveness and efficiency in store design

  • You support the implementation of the store Commercial Calendar


Qualifications



  • Diploma or Degree

  • Proven working experience in merchandising

  • You have a constant desire for renewal. 

  • You dare to be different while striving to meet reality and being cost conscious. 

  • You are humble and willing to accept and delegate responsibility. 

  • You have a hands-on and Customer service-driven approach.

  • You have a passion for retailing.

  • You have an experience as a Store Visual Merchandiser minimum 1 year, preferably in a supermarket.
