Our ideal candidate will be responsible for
- Planning, developing and implementing Igbo Language curriculum to meet learning objectives
- Teaching students various topics as are stipulated in the curriculum.
- Helping the students develop and build interest in the language as well as gaining mastery of the subject.
- Assigning language assignments to students to help improve their linguistic knowledge of the subject.
- Maintaining discipline in the classroom
- Preparing and marking class work to facilitate positive students’ development
- Maintaining proper academic records of students
- Performing any other duties assigned by Head of Department.
Skills and Qualification
- A Bachelor's degree in Igbo Language any other related field. An advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years’ cognate teaching experience in this role.
- Possess in-depth knowledge on the core subject
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task
