Job Description
The financial model developer will be responsible for building financial models to accompany the developed business. The financial models will take into account many different factors to predict financial outcomes and positions. The Financial Model Developer will work closely with business analysts and other stakeholders to ensure that the models meet the needs of the business.The financial model developer will be responsible for building financial models to accompany the developed business. Responsibilities
- Build financial models in excel based on historical information and other available industry-specific operating metrics;
- Ensure the new models’ accuracy while enhancing the existing models’ quality;
- Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis with the intent to support investment activities.
- Identify key financial and non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risks;
- Analyze and identify data required to support model tracking;
- Evaluate companies using various financial valuation methods, such as DCF, comparable company analysis, capital structure analysis etc;
- Assist the team in analyzing, and understanding financial and economic models within the scope of Programme’s preparation and evaluation activities;
- Support all fund-raising efforts initiated by the Team & the Organizations Leadership;
- Support in risk assessment, and investment and economic analysis of investment opportunities both for the Organization as well as for other clients;
- Support all areas of financial activities on the Programme and other key activities as may be requested by the Supervisor or the Management.
- Adequate experience building financial models, analyzing and evaluating financial models and in making the right financial assumptions;
Qualifications & Skills
- A solid understanding of the business development sector;
- Strong Excel and presentation skills;
- Knowing how to link the different accounting financial statements;
- Understanding how to build a forecast;
- A logical framework for problem-solving;
- Attention to detail;
- Ability to distil large amounts of data into a simple format;
- Clear presentation skills;
- The ability to easily zoom in on details, and zoom out on high-level strategy.
