About the job
- General overseeing of warehouse end-to-end operations including but not limited to, ensuring customer order fulfillment by the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products
Responsibilities
- Strategically manage warehouse operations in compliance with SBC’s policies.
- Initiate, coordinate, enforce, and review optimal operational policies and procedures.
- Oversee Just-In-Time delivery of packaging, raw and other materials.
- Manage day-to-day warehouse operations involved in product handling, storage solutions, loading and unloading, schedule of operations, and delivery of items
- Develop and implement and maintain clear and scalable warehousing strategy and control procedures to support the growth of the business.
- Monitoring inventory levels to gauge restocking needs.
- Management and reconciliation of stock.
- Carry out regular stock takes and report on results.
- Initiating and implementing cost reduction initiatives.

Essential Desired
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in logistics, supply chain management, supply chain management or social sciences.
- Minimum of 6 years experience
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases

- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Numerical Proficiency: Ability to access, use, interpret and communicate mathematical information and ideas quickly
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with optimizing inventory control procedures; FIFO and LIFO, shelving principles etc.
- Responsible for investigating stock discrepancies, including negatives, unfound and sold out, overages and reporting the information to GM, Sourcing & Warehousing, Finance
- Responsible for inventory checks being in place (cycle count schedule)
- Ensuring stock variance at monthly stock count do not exceed 1%.
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments, ensuring timely circulation to management monthly.
- Create forecasts on product volume to ensure that the warehouse is capable of housing the high volume of goods levels.
