The Learning and Development Specialist will oversee implementing all approved strategies to foster continuous learning among employees and build their competencies according to business needs.
Core Responsibilities
Manage the company’s annual Learning & Development (L&D) budget. Track, monitor, analyze and report spend on the approved L&D budget.
Implement strategies to effectively curate and roll out learning programs on the organization’s learning management system (LMS).
Collaborate with the necessary stakeholders to develop, deploy and continuously improve onboarding and orientation programs for new hires.
Create, build and manage the end-to-end learning Management System for the Organization.
Collate Training Plan for the organization based on the approved training needs analysis by HOD’s.
Drive uptake of Personal Development Plans (PDPs) on the LMS across the business.
Work with stakeholders to design and implement training programs based on individual, departmental and organizational need.
Develop and manage end to end internal learning management system
Liaise with functional leaders to identify and assess competencies, create competency templates to map learning profiles.
Build an Internal Faculty of trainers to deliver firsthand in-house training.
Collaborate with Faculty members and external consultants to develop training curricula to address competency gaps.
Support the execution of development plans for high-performers and high-potentials, identified annually.
Establish, track and report metrics for assessing effectiveness and efficiency of all learning and development programs/interventions.
Deploy evaluation tools, with analyses and report of learning and development statistics with a view to delivering insights that improve and/ or strengthen individual and group skill sets across the workforce.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records, including LMS user data, course/ program names, costs, trainee data, schedules, etc.
Serve as Course Registrar for all local and international training programs/ events.
Serve as point of contact for training vendors and participants. Ensure vendors adhere to approved Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Ensure the company complies with Industrial Training Fund (ITF) requirements and follow up with ITF for reimbursements.
Coordinate logistics for local and international, as well as in-house/ on-site and off-site, training events, including timely registration and reminders, and attendance confirmation.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Head of HR.
Qualifications
First Degree in Humanities or other related discipline.
At least two years’ experience in Learning and Development framework with data analytics.
