Job Description
Reporting To The Electrical Lead/Principal Engineer, The Candidate Shall
- Be able to perform a variety of electrical engineering work activities during the conceptual and design phases (FEED and Detailed Engineering design) for oil & gas and petrochemical plants.
- Uses objectivity and creativity to perform studies and technical activities to arrive at the most cost effective, reliable technical solution, ensuring that electrical designs are compliant with appropriate international legislation and project technical requirements.
Main Responsibilities - Senior Electrical Engineer
- Perform detailed technical analysis of complex project issues. Arrive at sound and prudent decisions, course of action or a conclusion, especially when only limited facts are available. Solve problems quickly.
- Responsible for the technical content and the co-ordination of the electrical services for the project to which they have been assigned.
- Capable of providing specialized technical input and assistance to others.
- Able to coordinate technical issues within discipline and with other engineering staff.
- Collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of engineering activities.
- Develop and/or contribute to the development of project deliverables including Electrical procedures, technical specifications, Conceptual design, Data sheets, Single line diagrams, Purchase requisitions, Hazardous area drawings, Preparation of cost estimate input.
- Prepare Technical queries, technical deviations, Field design change replies, Field note replies.
- At all times ensuring conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
- Support procurement and subcontract aspects of projects, with engineering knowledge and experience.
