Description

• Carrying out research to help develop ideas


• Working to a brief agreed upon with a client


• Producing new designs or improving existing designs


• Take into account size, shape, ergonomics, and production methods when producing design ideas


• Take into account cost, type, and availability of materials, and safety implications


• Creating initial design sketches, color themes and ideas based on client requirements and space availability


• Getting approval from the client before creating CAD designs and detailed briefs for workers and supervisors


• Using software packages such as Autocad, Inventor, Solidworks and Photoshop


• Supervise the construction of models or samples of products and test them for function, quality, and consumer appeal


• Prepare engineering drawings and detailed final designs


• Liaise with craftspeople whenever you are designing one-off pieces.


• Look out for Furniture Manufacturing Deals on behalf of the company.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a B.Eng, BSc, B.Tech or HND in relevant fields with 3 - 7 years work experience.


• Must know how to make Cut List or Cutting List
