As Network Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the company's network and IT infrastructure, ensuring that it operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Monitoring network performance: Monitor the network to ensure it functions optimally, analyzing network traffic and identifying and resolving performance issues.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot network issues, identify the root cause of problems and develop solutions to fix them.
Incident management: Responsible for incident management, which involves identifying and resolving issues that arise in the network, working with other IT teams to resolve problems, and escalating issues as necessary.
Network security: Ensure that the network is secure by monitoring it for potential security breaches, implementing security protocols and procedures, and responding to security incidents.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of network operations, including network diagrams, equipment configurations, and procedures.
Communication: Communicate with other IT teams and end-users to ensure that network issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
System upgrades and maintenance: May perform upgrades and maintenance on network equipment and software to ensure that the network operates at peak performance.
Monitoring trends: Must be able to identify trends in network usage and predict future needs, making recommendations for upgrades or changes to the network infrastructure.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
NYSC Certified
Experience:
1 - 3 years of experience in a Telecommunications Company or Internet Service Provider as well as experience in network administration or a related field with a good knowledge of Internet Leased Line, Leased Line, Home Broadband, FTTH, FTTX, VoIP, IPTV and Telecommunications Operations.
Skills Required:
