Advise Governing Board, Institute Registrar, Committees, Directors and other officers of the Institute on financial matters;
Assess, develop and implement manual and computerised accounting and financial management systems and procedures as well as control systems;
Manage the Institute’s investments;
Direct the preparation of consolidated financial statements of the Institute;
Direct the preparation of periodic income and expenditure balance sheet and cash flow estimates of the Institute; vi. ensure that proper records of all assets of the Institute are maintained and that assets are properly guarded against theft, natural and other disasters, etc;
Ensure the correct and timely preparation of financial statements and accounts of the Institute and their submission to the Institute Registrar, Governing Council and committees;
Ensure the execution of the annual audits of the Institute’s accounts in an efficient and effective manner;
Monitor and ensure the efficient and effective management of the fixed assets; working capital, receivables, and payables of the Institute.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Higher National Diploma or a related field. A master's degree will be an advantage.
At least 8 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field with Professional Certifications from CIFCFIN and ANAN or ICAN.
Must be a Chartered Certified Member of CIFCFIN (Chartered Certified Fraud Investigator (CCFI)) or (Chartered Certified Forensic Accountant (CCrFA))

Working Conditions
The ideal candidate must be based in Abuja and must be physically fit, with the ability to stand for extended periods. He/She will work in an academic environment, with a mix of office and classroom settings.
The position may require occasional evening and weekend work for meetings and other engagements.
