Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings.
Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys.
Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on solutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients.
Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently.
Interviewing witnesses, gathering evidence, and interviewing experts to support the client’s case.
Preparing witnesses for court appearances by coaching them on what to say and how to behave during testimony.
Communicating with clients throughout the litigation process to keep them informed about the status of their cases and any new developments.
Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is handy for other attorneys, paralegals and support staff.
Verify documents and draft reports in respect of findings
Qualifications
2-3 years of post- cognate experience in a law firm and legal practice with an LLB in law from a reputable university.
Ability to conduct in-depth legal research.
Experience in drafting, negotiating and reviewing legal documents.
Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and research skills.
Natural leader who displays sound judgment and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and public speaking skills.
