Job Description
Our client, a manufacturing company in Ogun State is seeking an Inventory Manager to manage the inventory and oversee the daily operations of the store. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for ensuring that products are stored and distributed safely and efficiently, managing stock levels, and maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document all incoming products and materials, ensuring that they meet quality and quantity standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and order products as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate with Customer Fulfilment Officer to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Prepare and process purchase orders and sales orders as needed.
- Manage and maintain the store's inventory management system to ensure accurate record-keeping and timely reporting.
- Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory levels.
- Handle and resolve any inventory-related issues such as stock discrepancies or damaged products.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store and warehouse.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Ensure stock is maintained at minimum stock levels by monitoring Periodic Automatic Replacement levels for all materials.
- Ensure the quality of materials received is at par with the company’s standards.
- Ensure that materials are issued against authorized requisition only.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in inventory management or storekeeping.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Familiarity with safety and health regulations related to inventory management and warehouse operations.
- Ability to lift and move heavy products and equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
