Job Description



  • With effective daily operations in all areas of banking service, the Assistant Branch Manager will support the Branch Manager in leading the bank.

  • The job holder will schedule and manage the daily responsibilities and operations of customer service representatives, head tellers, tellers, safety deposit clerks, and financial service managers.

  • And ensure that timely and helpful performance reviews are conducted.


Duties / Responsibilities



  • Help other managers achieve profit, performance, and customer service objectives.

  • Maintain high standards for banking services, particularly customer support, and makes contact with or offer assistance to current and potential clients.

  • Monitor and maintain staffing practices, making sure that duties and responsibilities are fair and that salaries are distributed fairly.

  • Organize branch staff communication.

  • Work toward achieving branch performance goals, such as operating loss control, bank secrecy, and adherence to rules and regulations.

  • Supervises and help with the creation of all branch reports for management's approval.

  • Attend and take part in staff meetings.

  • While the manager is not present, manages branch operations.

  • Does further relevant tasks as required.


Education and Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent banking industry experience.

  • 1 - 2 years of branch-lead experience.

  • Master's in a relevant financial field

  • CIBN Certification

  • Relevant courses taking in leadership and management.


Skills / Abilities:



  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent math and accounting skills.

  • Excellent personal and professional leadership skills.

  • Understanding of banking regulatory matters and procedures for proper operation.

  • Ability to perform various banking procedures and operations.

  • Ability to remain professional and composed under pressure.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software programs.
