Monitor laws and regulations with possible impact on company business processes, develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies
Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously
Revise procedures, reports for continuous improvement and simplification. periodically to identify non-conformity issues
Support/Lead the drafting, modification and implementation company policies
Collaborate with corporate counsels and HR departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training
Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate
Conducts interviews, scrutinizes details, and asks questions to make sure employees make every effort to stay compliant across a company's various departments
When compliance problems arise, conducts investigations to discover the roots of the issue
Stays informed about environmental standards and makes sure a company operates within those standards. Help design programs that improve compliance in environmental, ethical, and other areas
Communicates confidentially with employees and addresses any concerns they have about ethical or other compliance matters
Review communications such as company external communication (averts) to ensure there are no violations of standards or regulations.
Qualifications
BSc/BA in law, finance, business administration or disciplines related field to specific compliance industry
Minimum of 2 years of compliance experience
Good knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
