Job Description
The Role: Flutterwave is looking for an Agile Lead to join our team. As an Agile Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of scrum masters and facilitating the adoption of agile practices and principles across the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders to drive the successful delivery of agile projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in agile methodologies, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to guide and mentor scrum masters to ensure high-performing agile teams.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of scrum masters to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive agile projects successfully.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with agile principles.
- Monitor and track progress of agile projects, identify risks and issues, and proactively take corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify and resolve any impediments or obstacles to agile adoption and provide solutions to ensure smooth agile execution.
- Identify areas of improvement in agile practices, processes, and tools, and implement changes to enhance team performance and productivity.
- Develop and implement agile frameworks, tools, and techniques to support agile project management and delivery.
Required competency and skillset to be a waver
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
- Proven experience in leading and managing agile teams, preferably as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach.
- Strong understanding of agile principles, values, and practices, with a track record of successful agile implementation and delivery.
- Experienced with process mapping, analysis, and re-engineering concepts, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work in a fast-paced environment, and make decisions in a timely manner.
- Relevant agile certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are preferred.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
