• Our client in the Oil and Gas Sector with operations in Lagos is seeking to hire a qualified Internal Auditor.

Responsibilities

• Liase with all business units to ensure the successful implementation of the Audit Plan.


• Assess compliance with established business control policies, processes, and procedures in all business units.


• Assess and monitor the adequacy of adherence to internal control procedures.


• Escalate identified weaknesses in Controls to the Head, Internal Audit, and recommend workable solutions.


• Investigate violations of operational procedures and make recommendations on appropriate preventive or remedial actions.


• Provide accurate and objective reports/updates to inform and guide management.


• Liaise with the finance department and the external auditors for the successful coordination of the annual statutory audit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Professional Certification such as CIA, CISA or CPA is an added advantage.


• Good understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and auditing standards.


• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.


• Ability to work effectively as a team player and independently.


• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
