Responsibilities



  • Provide leadership for the business team through clearly communicating strategy and goals and coaching sessions.

  • Manage the roadmap and lifecycle of Business and associated features with Product Managers, Engineering, and business stakeholders.

  • Conduct market research studies to identify potential new customers or new uses for existing products or services.

  • Support the development of product enhancements, product gap identification and prioritisation of feature requests for customers.

  • Drive Sales and Profit for the Business Product across all operating markets.

  • Carry out strategic planning and operations management for the Business product unit.

  • Create and present product growth strategies (occasionally in front of investors or analysts), product performance reports, as well as the calculation of business cases for the Business Unit.

  • You will work with the Head of Sales and Strategic Partnerships to lead necessary contract negotiations with Business Partners, required to expand market reach for your product.

  • You will present the company and its products to strategic customers, the press, and analysts.

  • Maintain an understanding of external competitive digital developments and their impact on our business and innovation strategy.

  • Define, monitor of the Business Unit’s relevant KPIs to achieve the objectives set for each product line.

  • Ensuring that robust workflow processes and procedures are followed and set operation KPI’s are delivered through the team under your responsibility.

  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to the business to communicate performance against set KPIs/impact of decisions and changing trends that could impact the business.

  • Lead the Business Product team while motivating and achieving steady improvements in your team's performance. You will also be required to evaluate team

  • performance and make recommendations accordingly.

  • Identify high potential customers and partners for the company.

  • Maintain relationships with customers to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and reduce customer churn.


Qualification and Experience



  • 10-15 years of work experience within the financial services, technology and more recently Open Banking sectors.

  • A clear and demonstrated successful career history of commercialisation of technology-based solutions and platforms.

  • Passion and deep knowledge of global and emerging banking and payments technologies, product solutions, commercial and operational frameworks.

  • Strong understanding/focus on digital technologies and platform ecosystems and how this are impacting the Retail banking industry

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in a business or technology field is an added advantage.


Preferred Skills and Qualification



  • Demonstrable work-experience in digital banking product management and/or consumer facing mobile product in Banks or Financial institutions.

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively

  • across regional and functional lines. In particular, an ability to communicate technical concepts in a clear and articulate fashion to both technical and non-technical audiences for internal and external audiences is critical.

  • Strong commercial acumen combined with technical understanding.

  • Advanced planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and drive results. Experience in Design Thinking.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability, which encourages and promotes enthusiasm and team spirit.

  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel Skills.
