Job Summary:
We are looking for a Store Assistant to join our team in a busy supermarket. The Store Assistant will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting in the day-to-day operations of the store, and helping to ensure the store runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and answer any questions about the store or products
- Assist customers with selecting products, making recommendations, and answering questions about product features
- Stock shelves and keep displays clean and organized
- Ensure shelves are adequately stocked with products
- Receive and process customer payments
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Assist with unloading of delivery trucks
- Monitor inventory levels and order stock as needed
- Maintain accurate records of stock and orders
- Assist with general administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail experience is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy items
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Working knowledge of computers and other related technology
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to use a POS system
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
