JOB DESCRIPTION: -

• Responsible for the growth and profitability of the SBU by creating new products and maintaining/tweaking existing ones. Also, should be able develop marketing plans, conduct research on what customers want in their financial services as well as market trends that might have an impact on those needs.


• Develop a product from inception to completion or adapt an existing product to meet the risk profile of the company


• Evaluate the market potential of the product as well as the Marketing strategy to attract the target market


• Evaluate the various pricing strategies that can be used to make the product acceptable to the customer and profitable to the company


• Provide leadership in the overall growth and profitability of SME business


• Drive profitable revenue and volume growth with a focus on new acquisition, deepening of existing customer relationships and cross sell thereby improving the company’s SME market share


• Initiate and collaborate with other SBUs to identify and develop product solutions and bundles to meet the needs of SME customers


• Ensure effective department structures and systems (policies, processes, procedures and tools) for optimal efficiency, resource utilization and cost containment


• Drive cross selling and up streaming by tailoring solutions to deepen client relationships


• Define and manage customer retention strategies including reactive retention and proactive retention programs.


• Collaborate with various product, credit, operations and functional teams to improve customer service delivery through turnaround times, service level agreements and process improvements.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a degree or its equivalent


• Must have headed a SBU or a product team before


• Must have good Marketing and customer facing skills


• Must have good analytical/problem solving skills


• Must have good oral & written communication skills


• Must have had at least 3 years of experience in product development and nurturing
