Job Description
Job Purpose
- As the L&D Specialist, you will be responsible for creating and implementing Learning programs that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
- You will be responsible for identifying the current and future skills requirements of Sabi and creating flexible learning interventions to meet the learning needs.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills, and a passion for driving learning across the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, develop and deliver learning programs that support organization-wide objectives.
- Provide comprehensive organizational Learning & Development plans to support the objectives and changing priorities of Sabi.
- Evaluate individual and organizational learning and development needs.
- Carry out a skills assessment audit following the completion of Performance reviews & Appraisals to show the strengths, development areas and succession planning opportunities for each area of the business.
- Work cross-functionally with subject matter experts to define key content areas, training materials and curriculum.
- Design and deliver blended learning solutions via different channels, such as e-learning courses, workshops & seminars, classroom, retreats, etc.
- Manage eLearning content in our Learning Management System (LMS) to reflect our most current product/service offerings, and policies/procedures.
- Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities.
- Help managers develop their team members through clearly defined career paths.
- Extract LMS data for analysis. Provide reports on the status of training completions, effectiveness, and other operational metrics.
- Track training budgets and negotiate contracts with 3rd party learning providers.
- Globalize existing and future L&D programs to office locations and remote employees.
Requirements
Special Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration or a related field.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in designing, developing, and delivering training programs. Significant experience in any learning institute is of added advantage.
- Experience with e-learning platforms and learning management systems.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles.
- Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Strong technical skills with experience in developing and delivering online training programs.
