Job Description
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Update loan account status and database regularly.
- Plan a course of action to recover outstanding payments.
- Locate and contact debtors and inquire about their payment status.
- Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans.
- Identify gaps in the system and recommend solutions.
- Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.
- Manage multiple delinquent accounts for debt collection efforts.
- Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
- Handle questions or complaints.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or accounts.
- Ensure that salaries are domiciled in loan accounts.
- Any other duties assigned by the management.
Qualifications & Skill Sets
- BSc or HND in social sciences or other related fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in credit management and debt collection.
- Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of relevant legal requirements.
- Good knowledge of MS Office suites.
- Good negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Good time-management skills.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Speaking and listening skills.
- Prioritization skills.
- Attention to detail.
