Key Responsibilities and Activities includes:
Trade Engagement
- Strategically create and embed a clear channel strategy for sustainable and profitable growth of the brands in the on-trade at all times
- Apply techniques to sell and negotiate effectively to achieve positive outcomes in line with annual brand plan objectives in the on-trade.
- Develop direct and actionable relationships with laser focus on the top on-trade accounts to drive distribution and usage of products
- Identify and nurture new opportunities to expand the brand's availability, visibility and drive profitable growth.
- Develop and ensure execution of all channel programs to meet brand obJectives with excellence by ensuring world class execution in the right accounts, with appropriate follow up and KPI’s to ensure the maximum return on investment.
Brand Building
- Collaborates closely with the brand Marketing and Trade Marketing departments to assist with the planning and execution of the dedicated brand channel strategies.
- Ensure all on-trade creative and execution is according to global brand guidelines and adapt for a localised approach where relevant.
- Monitor and report competitive supplier or other volume / value increasing activity in the on-trade as a means to improve future brand promotion / strategy.
Team Leader
- Build and maintain a strong and highly effective team. Lead and coach all direct reports in a motional way for increased productivity and engagement.
- Manage local on-trade Brand Builders and Brand Ambassadors call cycles, daily responsibilities, KPI tracking and reporting.
- Manage the team effectively to develop and secure trade partnership agreements to increase availability, visibility and activation in the channel.
- Effectively manage an annual on-trade budget to ensure the investment is in line with the key brand strategies and obJectives.
- Know your market like the back of your hand. Spend an appropriate amount of time in the trade to stay close to market dynamics, secure and optimise existing execution.
Requirements
Below are the knowledge, skill and experiences required for this role:
- University Degree with a major in Sales & Marketing
- Minimum of 6 years on-trade alcohol industry experience
- Experience in BTL activities and execution (experiential, POS activation, perfect store)
- Team leader with demonstrated success in managing a team
- Experience in premium brand development in a structured Multinational context
- Strategic innovative thinker with strong operational capabilities
- Current and effective understanding of on-trade channel relationships and marketing
- Strong analytical capability
- Brand profitability and AAP budget management
- Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
- Passionate about the Spirits industry
- Able and willing to work very flexible hours (including nights and weekends).
- Executional excellence and attention to detail with strong project management skills
- Customer and result oriented
