Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Physical and Health Education Teacher to join our team at a British Secondary School.


• The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and effective physical education and health lessons to students, and preparing them for their IGCSE exams.


• This role requires a strong understanding of the British curriculum and relevant IGCSE experience, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective physical education and health lessons to students using a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.


• Prepare students for their IGCSE exams, including setting and marking assessments and providing feedback.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.


• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement the school's curriculum and policies.


• Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, diversity, and physical fitness.


• Provide guidance and support to students who are struggling with their coursework or facing personal challenges.


• Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Health Education or a related field.


• TRCN and IGCSE certification


• Relevant experience teaching physical education and health at the secondary level, with a strong focus on IGCSE preparation.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Strong understanding of teaching methods and resources for accommodating different learning styles and abilities.


• Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Passion for physical education, health, and education.
