Duties and Responsibilities

You will perform the duties and have the responsibilities and authority customarily performed and held by an employee in your position or as otherwise may be assigned or delegated to you by the Company including but not limited to the responsibilities listed below:



  • Partner in the development of a growth and pricing strategy for new businesses being launched, provide reporting & analysis, develop a detailed understanding of operational costs, and manage KPIs to assist the business in improving performance.

  • Guide the accounting department in all accounting, financial, and administrative disciplines and ensures accounting excellence, high productivity, and satisfaction in full specifications.

  • Define, optimize, and implement standard accounting processes in cooperation.

  • Provide regular, weekly, and monthly reporting of business performance and opportunities to drive growth and efficiency to management.

  • Develop analyses and processes to enable the business to scale efficiently and make data-driven decisions.

  • Maintaining Payable reports, Managing & updating transporter ledger.

  • Preparing clients’ invoices and Verifying transporters' invoices.

  • Prepare financial statements in line with FIRS.

  • Monitor cash flow, receivables, and payables.

  • Timely monthly, quarterly, and annual tax applications to LIRS/FIRS.

  • Ensure close monitoring of the monthly overhead budget.

  • Manage staff under his responsibility and tasks as assigned by management.


Requirements



  • Degree in Finance, or other Degrees with equivalent experience; an MBA or equivalent will be an advantage.

  • Must be a chartered Accountant.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Accounting/ Finance roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem-solving.

  • Strong ability to work with business leaders to deliver results, including the ability to persuade with data.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • An eye towards continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify both finance and operational processes.

  • Ability to think at both the strategic and implementation level – to think big while also diving deep.

  • Experience in a business partnering role.

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and other analytical tools
