In addition to having the right educational qualifications and a good understanding of the British Curriculum for EYFS and Primary, other roles include:
- Develop meetings agenda and arrange for speakers and meeting minutes with parents.
- Manage staff attendance, submit timesheets, and enter time into the online timesheet system.
- Design the school’s aims and objectives and implement policies.
- Ensure policies and practices consider national, local, and school inspection standards.
- Effective supervision and implementation of school policy effects and take action where necessary.
- Develop creative and responsive approaches to teaching and learning.
- Engage in self-learning by ensuring a culture and ethos of support and challenge.
- Exhibit and express high expectations and establish community targets.
- Assess, organize and execute flexible curriculum and effective assessment framework.
- Strategize the development of emerging technologies to extend the learning experience.
- Plan, support, and assess individuals' and teams’ work to ensure task delegation.
- Ensure a reasonable teacher-staff school-work balance.
- Sustain effective staff performance management systems and incorporate teachers’ appraisals and targets for school achievement.
- Arrange headteacher performance management.
- Handle authorized emergency and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / PGDE qualification.
- A good understanding of Nigerian and British Curriculum.
- Minimum of four (4) years work experience in a school.
