About the role:



  • This is an exciting opportunity to join our company as the first boots on the ground in the Francophone region.

  • As a company, we're committed to extending our offerings to all Africans, and this role will be critical in ensuring that we arrive properly in the region.

  • You'll be responsible for setting our function up, driving revenue and managing the profit and loss (P&L) for the region, making each day unique and challenging.

  • You’ll be joining a dynamic team that is dedicated to enriching the experience of African consumers and businesses alike. 


Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute B2B sales strategies to acquire merchants in the Francophone countries of Africa

  • Identify potential merchant partners and develop leads in the target markets.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new merchant partners.

  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and stay up-to-date with market trends.

  • Work closely with the Sales team to create and implement strategic initiatives targeted at Francophone merchants.

  • Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback on product features and improvements that will resonate with Francophone merchants.

  • Liaise with senior leadership to effectively communicate progress, blockers and your plan of action 

  • Represent Klasha at industry events and conferences to raise the company's profile.

  • Assess the viability of Klasha’s Products in the Francophone region 

  • Conduct competitor analysis to help hone our sales/GTM strategy in the region


Requirements:



  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.

  • A deep understanding of company financials including but not limited to burn and P&L 

  • A growth mindset approach centered around adding value to both yourself and the business 

  • A proven track record of successful sales in the fintech industry, with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

  • Knowledge of the Francophone market and cultural nuances.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements of the territories you’ll be dealing with

  • An obsession with delighting customers and potential partners 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to travel frequently within the Francophone countries of Africa.


Qualifications, Experience and Key Competencies:



  •  5+ years experience in a Sales, Sales enablement or go-to-market capacity 

  • Demonstrated experience in developing go-to-market strategies for new products or services.

  • Experience with sales enablement and supporting a sales team with practical tools and resources.

  • Ability to work with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns and materials for specific customer segments or markets.

  • Experience with pricing strategy and developing pricing models for new products or services.

  • Proven experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including partners, customers, and industry associations.

  • A demonstrable, practical understanding of the competitive landscape in the Francophone markets and the ability to position Klasha's products and services effectively.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful pilot programs and product launches.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decisions and measure the success of go-to-market strategies.

  • Understanding of digital marketing channels and experience with social media, email marketing, and other online marketing tools.

  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to present Klasha's products and services to potential merchant partners, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
