Job Description
SUMMARY
The Market Researcher will be responsible for conducting comprehensive market research and analysis of Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products, market trends, and consumer behaviour. The primary objective of the role is to provide insights that will inform strategic decision-making for the development and launch of new FMCG products, as well as to enhance the performance of existing products.
JOB DUTIES
- Carry-out market research in the assigned areas.
- Construct and maintain a central database for recording market data. You will be expected to monitor the quality of the data, continually implement improvements.
- Build out internal communication channels to keep the wider business updated with market news.
- Consistently exercise independent judgement and discretion in research matters.
- Prepare and submit regular reports that summarizes findings in a digestible, graphical, and actionable manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably within psychology, sociology, statistics, communications, or marketing or any other relevant field
- 1-2 years of experience in FMCG sector
- Excellent IT skills across the Microsoft desktop suites and the following:
- Statistical software packages: {{SPSS, SAS, R or Stata}}
- Database manipulation {{SQL}} and CRM management.
- Advanced data visualization methods: {{Tableau, Business Objects}}
- Excellent spoken and written communication and the tenacity to hold an argument.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally, with people of all levels.
