Job Duties
The Accountant’s duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial data.
- Creating periodic reports, such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements, etc.
- Presenting data to managers, investors, and other entities.
- Maintaining accurate financial records.
- Performing audits, resolving discrepancies and computing taxes.
- Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
- Assisting management in the decision-making process by preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc. or HND, preferably in Accounting. ICAN certification is a plus.
- Proven track record with a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting
- Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills, proficiency in the use of accounting software such as Sage, Zoho, Quickbooks etc., proficiency in
- Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
