Role Overview



  • As the Shift Team Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations and driving performance on the shop floor.

  • You will lead a team of operators, coach them for success, and collaborate with various departments to achieve production targets while maintaining quality standards.


Responsibilities



  • Coach and mentor operators on the shop floor, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate with the technical team to ensure prompt and permanent resolution of breakdowns.

  • Drive start-up timing as per the production plan after each run, ensuring efficient production transitions.

  • Implement waste reduction initiatives across the shop floor, optimizing resources and minimizing losses.

  • Build strong relationships with shop floor teams, engineering, warehouse, planning, and quality assurance to ensure seamless collaboration.

  • Ensure compliance with GMP/GHK standards, execute audits, and follow up on corrective actions.

  • Monitor and control costs, including staffing levels, to optimize production efficiency.

  • Maintain quality control parameters within acceptable targets to deliver high-quality products.

  • Manage raw and packaging materials, ensuring proper staging and accurate accountability.

  • Maintain a clean and safe production environment, adhering to all safety and regulatory requirements.

  • Submit accurate production data and reports to the shift production manager for analysis and decision-making.

  • Drive innovation, process improvement, and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Promote a positive work culture, foster teamwork, and actively engage employees.


Qualifications



  • Candidates should possess an HND or B.Sc. in Food Sciences, Engineering, or General Sciences.

  • Must have 3-5 years of hands-on experience in FMCG operations and maintenance.

  • Strong knowledge of bottling operations and an understanding of the financial impact of decisions.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships and influence others.

  • Familiarity with WC manufacturing methodologies and quality standards.

  • Ability to drive results, take ownership, and implement improvement initiatives.

  • Open-minded, proactive, and eager to embrace new challenges.
