Job Description
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify growth opportunities in the African market
- Developing business plans and financial models to support the evaluation of strategic initiatives
- Supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives, including new product launches, partnerships, and market expansion
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects and initiatives to completion
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners
- Monitoring industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making
- Assisting in the preparation of presentations and materials for senior leadership and board meetings
- Supporting the development and execution of ETAP's long-term strategic plan
- Developing and implementing the overall operations strategy for ETAP, working closely with the executive team to ensure alignment with the company's mission and goals.
- Building and managing a team of junior operations professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support when needed.
- Ensuring that the daily activities of the business, encompassing areas such as customer success, managing claims, and administering insurance policies, are treated in a timely and orderly manner.
- Continuously review and improve operational processes, systems, and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Collaborating closely with other departments, including product, technology, marketing, and finance, to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to operations.
- Ensuring that KPIs are met or exceeded, including customer satisfaction, claims processing time, and overall business growth.
- Developing and implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for the operations team.
- Monitoring industry trends and best practices, and making recommendations for operational improvements and enhancements.
Skills required:
- You have a bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a related field.
- You have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in strategy consulting, investment banking, or corporate strategy.
- You have experience in the insurance industry or in a customer-facing environment, which is preferred.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- You have a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
- You have strong financial modeling skills, with the ability to develop and analyze business plans and financial projections.
- You have experience working in Africa, which is preferred, with a deep understanding of the region's cultural and business practices.
