Job Description

• As an electrical site engineer in building construction, your responsibilities will include overseeing the installation and maintenance of electrical systems on construction sites.


• You will ensure all electrical work is completed to code and meets safety standards.


• Additionally, you will work closely with other construction team members to ensure that all electrical systems are integrated seamlessly with other building components.


• Your job will also involve troubleshooting and resolving any electrical issues that arise during the construction process. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are also essential for success in this role.


• The ideal candidate for this position will have a degree in electrical engineering or a related field and at least five years of experience working in a construction environment.

Key Tasks

• Plan the electrical work with the Construction Manager and efficiently organise the site to meet agreed deadlines.


• Supervise and monitor the electrical subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives.


• Set out, level and survey the site with the Construction Surveyor for electrical works.


• Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.


• Manage, monitor, and interpret the contract design documents.


• Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.


• Prepare reports as required.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Eng / B.Tech qualification with 5 - 10 years work experience.

Salary

N250,000 - N400,000 / month.
