Job Objective
- Manage UPBEAT’s management reporting requirements
- Compile, Monitor and Report on UPBEAT’s budget, ensuring all transactions are in line with approved budget.
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports ensuring the reports are generated in accordance with IFRS and provide a true and fair representation of the organisation’s financial position.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor compliance with the business’s annual budget and plans in line with the overall strategy and objectives.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports and management accounts; clearly articulating the business’s performance and financial position to all stakeholders and also recommend measures to drive business growth and profitability.
- Work with the Accountant and Team Lead CSR for cash count and to ensure that all cash envelopes are deposited in the safe together.
- Work with the sales team to ensure that all guests’ payments are confirmed; rectify any errors and carry out refunds where necessary.
- Maintain adequate controls of through reviewing of inventory levels for materials and spares and debt collection.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls as well as to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and credit control operations.
- Implement and maintain acceptable accounting practices and procedures in accordance with IFRS and UPBEAT policies and procedures.
- Carry out periodic analysis of the revenue stream across different product and service offerings, different customer segments and recommend measures to facilitate repeat businesses and loyalty.
- Manage and control inventory, credit and collection, disbursements, deposits and remittances with the aim of maximising cash flow performance of the UPBEAT Centre.
- Co-ordinate, control and review the management accounts and year end accounts preparation in compliance with IFRS standards.
- Maintain and update the company’s asset register and ensure that all assets are numbered, insured and secured and used for the purpose for which it was acquired.
- Ensure the preparation of monthly financial forecast, primarily by working closely with other HODs to forecast their department’s overheads.
- Ensure all relevant documentation are kept up-to-date and secure.
- Keep abreast of trends, innovations and advancements in financial control and advise the Operations Manager accordingly.
- Prepare periodic activity report as required by the General Manager.
Competency and Skills Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND in a relevant field.
- 4 - 5 years work experience.
- Knowledge of financial management, budgeting and control.
- Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting applications and systems.
- Business and Report Writing Skills.
- Strong Negotiation Skills.
- Relationship Management Skills.
- Good Communication Skills.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly
