Job Description



Duties and Responsibilities



  • Provide operational support and advice to management and staff in relation to procurement, contracting and contactor management.

  • Manage contract assigned to the position to ensure compliance with specifications and service delivery standards

  • Develop and maintain organizational procurement capacity by providing training and support to staff with regards to procurement processes.

  • Managing the record keeping requirements of the tender and contracting processes.

  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery

  • Facilitate and coordinate best practice tendering and contracting activities. Including:

  • Reviewing draft tender documents for compliance with standards

  • Coordinating tender evaluation processes

  • Assist with preparation of tender recommendations for approval under delegated authority

  • Making sure equipment is ready as at when needed.

  • Reviewing proposed contract documents by liaison with the most Senior Engineer

  • Preparing contract documents for signature

  • Arranging the signing of contract documents.

  • Keep records of equipment serial number on delivery by the clearing agent.

  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, available stocks, delivery information and invoices

  • Inventory management of stocks/products available

  • Prepare Monthly reports on purchases and available stocks.


Qualification



  • BSc/HND  in Purchasing and Supply or relevant field.

  • Professional qualification in relevant course is preferred.

  • Familiarity with productivity tools, including Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Understanding of supply chain procedures

  • Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create Inventory reports and conduct cost analyses

  • Negotiation skills

  • Time management Skills

  • Knowledge of Stock and Inventory management

  • At least 2 years of working in similar capacity.
