Mission:


Guide and manage the development of Master Data & Information management strategies and models.


Description:



  • Define standards and guidelines for systems/solutions procurement or deployment for Business Intelligence, Mediation & Master Data Management platforms.

  • Oversee the design of standard Data Governance and Master Data Governance business rules. This includes establishing a Data Governance organization, processes, roles, and responsibilities in complex business environments.

  • Define guidelines and policies for Data Governance/Master Data Standardization

  • Support the maturity and adoption of the Enterprise Information Management program across the organization.

  • Drive Master Data schema development, access to business rules, and Master Data design

  • Provide expert knowledge of enterprise master data strategies.

  • Provide standards, guidelines, processes, and expertise to consistently address enterprise Master Data issues such as convergence, standards, and synchronization

  • Design standard business processes for the management of Master Data lifecycle, CDR management, Mediation, Revenue & Fraud platforms.

  • Direct the implementation of Big Data and Analytics Technologies, Platforms, Solutions and Initiatives

  • Document weekly reports per functional area

  • Direct the implementation of technology & data governance blueprints

  • Ensure continuous design, development and implementation of an enterprise wide ILM (Information Life Cycle Management) blueprint and roadmap covering data and documents.

  • Evaluate developments in architecture in the local and international business environment and recommend value-adding improvements to MTNN’s Data & Information architecture roadmaps

  • Evaluate and determine overall modeling standards, guidelines, best practices modeling techniques & approaches to Data & Information architecture

  • Provide support for the maturity and adoption of the EIM (Enterprise Information Management) program across the organization

  • Coach and train the team to ensure understanding of the department's objectives and goals, awareness of set targets/requirements and regularly review their training needs.

  • Review the performance of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules.


Education:



  • A first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems or a related discipline 

  • Master’s degree in related field will be an added advantage 

  • TOGAF certified

  • Fluent in English


Experience:



  • 6 - 13 years’ experience which includes:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others

  • Experience working in a medium to large organization.

  • Experience in implementation or operation of an Enterprise Data Warehouse System.

  • Experience in Big Data and Analytics solutions implementation.

  • Experience in Data Governance practices especially in a Telco or any large enterprise.

  • Experience in Enterprise Architecture (Business, Data, Applications, Technology).

  • Experience integrating applications and technology in a complex environment.

  • Experience in MDM Architecture and MDM tools.

  • In-depth experience in Enterprise Architecture Governance and standards.

  • Experience with Data Qualities toolsets.

  • Experience with ETL, SOA , messaging technologies and Metadata models.

  • Good working knowledge of EA frameworks, NGOSS & Telco 2.0
