JOB DESCRIPTION
- Facilitate the induction, follow-up and mentoring of new teaching staff in line the school policy.
- Formulate and reinforce the achievement of termly academic targets for both teaching staff and pupils.
- Weekly appraisal and endorsement of statutory and classroom records.
- Collaborate with the Account Department to prepare the school’s termly budget.
- Update academic assessment tools and co-ordinate efficient administration of these tools.
- Undertake daily inspection of instruction in classrooms, monitor individual learners’ performance and check teachers’ records for appraisal and follow-up.
- Conduct staff monthly performance assessment and termly S.W.O.T analysis.
- Draw up a clear policy for curriculum provision in accordance to the school policy.
- Manage the school plant and supervise the activities of maintenance officers and security guards.
- Develop framework for school program planning, execution and reviews for better performance.
- Take overall responsibility for curriculum planning and implementation, liaising as appropriate with the Heads of Department.
- Communicated with department heads to determine the for each department.
- In conjunction with other members of Senior Management, share responsibility for maintaining a presence at school-related events.
- Co-ordinate the registration of learners for external examinations, competitions and establish relationship between the school and external examination bodies.
- Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Develop the framework of organization staffing by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling HODs on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes.
- Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and curriculum standards following up on work results.
