Job Brief
- Successful candidate will provide strategic financial advice to the Managing Director and Board of Directors and play a pivotal role in formulating future financial strategies
Qualification and Experience
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Economics, or a related field
- Must have a minimum of 10 years experience in similar position
- Experience in arising finances is high desired.
Requirements:
- Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the company stakeholders on financial matters and maintaining a strong working relationship with its bankers and other funding organization’s.
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning, forecasting and cost management in alignment with the operating companies’ strategic plan.
- Ensure financial objectives are aligned across the respective companies.
- Cascade financial strategies into an effective business plan for all the operating companies and ensure maximum alignment between organizational objectives and operating companies’ activities.
- Lead the continual improvement of smarter information systems, provision of centralized information, increased financial and operational KPI information and trend analysis and benchmarking of the company performance against agreed measures.
- Defines the liquidity strategy, which outlines how liquidity challenges will be handled and reviews this annually.
- Reviews cash flow position for ending period. Reviews ledger and income statements to assess the organisation’s liquidity position.
- Ensuring that the businesses financial risk and exposure is prudently managed, including management of tax liabilities.
- Evaluate the organization’s fundraising plans and capital structure and make recommendations to Senior Management and the Board
- Ensure that the company always has a rich pipeline of assets and projects ready for investment.
- Manage all finance functions with full authority over treasury, tax, statutory and management accounting, financial accounts, financial control, and internal and external reporting.
