Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ship, safety and security, cargo operations, navigation, crew management, and legal compliance, and for the persons and cargo on board.
Ensure that all the ship’s machinery and equipment are working in an efficient manner in order to support the safe navigation of the ship.
Carrying duties while complying with the rules and regulations laid down by the flag state administration, IMO, and port state authorities.
To inspect equipment that relates to machinery and personnel safety at noon daily.
Provide a detailed description of maintenance carried out and report the same.
Submit weekly inspections done at the field, as assigned.
Attend to the maintenance of the deck and tug/boat requisitions where applicable
Requirements
Candidates should possess a B.Eng qualification with 8 - 15 years work experience.
