- We are looking to engage a Strategy and Planning Officer to assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic and business plans for Axxela.
- The incumbent supports the Strategy and Planning Manager in carrying out Axxela’s strategy, planning, and corporate performance monitoring function.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the development of the organization’s strategic plan, including long-term and annual views.
- Support the Strategy and Planning Manager in coordinating business planning, goal setting and forecasting, initiative prioritization, and performance tracking and reporting across the organization.
- Monitor and analyse market trends relating to the organization’s business and overall strategy.
- Provide support and insight into significant organizational changes (e.g., the shift in strategic focus, mergers, and acquisitions).
- Coordinate annual corporate retreats and brainstorming sessions on specific company initiatives.
- Facilitate collaborative development of cross-asset strategies, initiatives, and contingency plans.
- Develop business proposals, operational business requirements, and business plans per asset as well as ensure successful execution of the initiatives created, as required.
- Develop and implement strategies for generating incremental value for the company.
- Develop business/investment cases for new frontier opportunities and other strategic opportunities.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 2:2 in Accounting, Finance, or Economics from a reputable university
- 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience in corporate development and strategic planning, business development, budgeting, performance reporting, and other related functions of a reputable organization or consulting firm will be an advantage
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) will be an advantage.
