ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our talented production team. As a Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in creating compelling and visually appealing videos that resonate with our audience. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including top 10 lists, documentaries, interviews, and more.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Edit videos efficiently and effectively, adhering to WatchMojo's established style and guidelines.


• Collaborate with the content team to understand the vision and objectives of each video project.


• Organize and manage video assets, ensuring all necessary files are accessible and well-structured.


• Assemble raw footage and audio into a cohesive and engaging final product.


• Enhance videos with appropriate transitions, effects, graphics, and other visual elements.


• Implement color correction and audio mixing techniques to achieve high-quality output.


• Ensure video projects are completed within the given timelines and meet the required quality standards.


• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging video editing techniques to bring fresh ideas and innovation to the team.


• Contribute to the creative brainstorming process, offering suggestions for new video concepts and formats.


• Collaborate with the post-production team to refine and improve video editing workflows.


• Maintain strong attention to detail, ensuring videos are error-free and meet technical specifications for various platforms.


• Seek feedback from colleagues and supervisors to continually improve your editing skills.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven work experience as a Video Editor or similar role, preferably in a digital media or entertainment company.


• Proficient in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.


• Solid understanding of video editing principles, techniques, and best practices.


• Strong proficiency in using visual effects, motion graphics, and other editing tools to enhance video content.


• Knowledge of color correction, audio editing, and mixing techniques.


• Familiarity with different video formats, resolutions, and encoding settings for web and social media platforms.


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.


• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.


• A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of visual storytelling.


• Passion for digital media, and pop culture, and a strong desire to create engaging video content.
