Job Summary


QHSE department needs an experienced HSE officer who is passionate and have an in-depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment with qualifications to match. The primary role of the HSE officer is to support QHSE department in the establishment, implementation and to maintain the process (es) of managing Health, safety and environment across all functions in the company group Business.


Responsibilities



  • Ensures a safe system of work is in place before work commencement.

  • Implementation of Permit-To-Work (PTW) system when required.

  • Prepare job specific HSE documentations such as HSE Plan, Work Method Statement, JHA etc.

  • Ensures compliance to applicable Regulations.

  • Carry out HSE inductions for new staff and visitors.

  • Conduct regular HSE inspections including equipment/vehicles inspections.

  • Prepare requisite HSE report as at when required.

  • Identify and report Unsafe Acts and Unsafe Conditions at work place. 

  • Conduct Peptalk/Tool Box Talk prior to work commencement and document it accordingly.

  • Conduct emergency drills as at when required.

  • Ensure good housekeeping is practiced and maintained at all time in work place.

  • Conduct EMS Internal Audit.

  • Conduct risk assessment.

  • Incident/Accident reporting and investigation.

  • Ensure that health, safety, and environmental policies are adhered to. Identify and assess hazards, risks and control measures for specific operation or process.


Requirements



  • A minimum of  HND or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or any related field.

  • ISPON HSE Level 3 certificate.

  • Possess NEBOSH-IGC.

  • ISO14001:2015 & ISO45001:2018 (Added advantage).

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environment
