Job Description

The job role is to ensure coordination of installation, repair, and maintenance of sub-station equipment.

Job Requirements

• Technical Certificate in Electrical Installations & Maintenance or its equivalents (i.e. National Diploma, Trade  Test, NABTEB, NAPTIN).


• Relevant professional certification or qualification would be an added advantage.


• At least 2+ years of varied experience in Electrical Electronic/Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibility

1. Ensure all new substation equipment installations are carried out according to manufacturer standards.


2. Prepare Requests for Procurement (RFP) for fast-moving parts of substation equipment.


3. Ensure all reported faulty HV breakers are repaired urgently.


4. Ensure all reported cable faults are urgently attended to.


5. Ensure planned, predictive and preventive maintenance of all substation Equipment.


6. Keep records of planned and emergency maintenance in the injection sub-station.


7. Ensure proper earthing of all electrical equipment in all injection sub-station.


8. Ensure electrical power equipment meets/complies with the standard specified requirement.


9. Prepares periodic and ad-hoc reports to relevant stakeholders.


10. Perform other sundry assignments as directed by Technical Engineer.
