Job Description



  • The Project Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing agent acquisition and network expansion, fostering stakeholder and community partnerships, optimizing product sales generation via agents and e-commerce tools for sustainable development in the agriculture and energy sectors, and ensuring the successful implementation of these projects across rural areas in Nigeria.


Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, SOPs and budget (in alignment with the implementation framework of each project).

  • Champion the alignment and collaboration between the field projects and the tech product, ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality of the agent app.

  • Conceptualize and oversee the execution of excellent customer experience within the networks (Manage and oversee the daily activities of the agent network including the activities of the farmers, agents, agent network managers, and internal teams supporting the process.)

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including partners and community leaders.

  • Oversee the execution of quality assurance protocols of the procurement processes of mini grid-compliant equipment and agricultural input (SOPs, MOUs, SLAs, contracts etc)

  • Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring that project costs are kept within the approved budget.

  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports and realistic monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts to the management team.

  • Ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and are delivered on time.

  • Ensure the acquisition, strong presence and expansion of the agent network in chosen geographies. Also, provide intelligent recommendations of best geographies for expansion.

  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate potential impacts on project success.

  • Manage coaching, training, and performance monitoring of agent network managers and the aligned human resource of the projects

  • Serve as a communication link between agents, VPPs, internal teams, and customers, ensuring excellent customer experience.

  • Develop and secure credit financing programs and partnerships with financial institutions to enable customers from the projects to access financing options for product purchases.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, agriculture or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on renewable energy and/or agricultural projects and agent management. Evidence of consistently meeting or exceeding targets is a priority advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.

  • Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in sales and agriculture

  • PMP / PRINCE II certification is an added advantage.

  • Strong experience in stakeholder management, risk management, and budget management.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, in a challenging and fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on results.

  • Knowledge of the local environment, culture, and business practices in the selected regions of the projects.

  • Work flexibility to allow for onsite supervision of team members on the field. Thus we strongly recommend candidates domiciled in Northern Nigeria effectively apply.
